My name is Kaitlyn! I have been in the photography industry since 2014, but have loved photography and the creative arts since I was a child. My husband, Austin, and I were married in 2013, and together we have six beautiful children ages 11, 9, 7, 5, 2 and a newborn. My dream of being a wife and mother is truly my main vocation, but God has provided for our family by supporting the growth of my photography business simultaneously. We are a military family, as I am an Army Reserve veteran of nine years and Austin is still serving on active duty in the Air Force out of a Reserve unit in Pittsburgh. We live north of the Pittsburgh (New Castle) area on a small homestead and are currently working on starting a flower farm together, another lifelong goal that we’ve prayed about for years!
A few fun things I am also passionate about:
Cathedrals and Renaissance style churches
Catholic Tradition
Cooking and baking (I would love to own some sort of bakery someday, in conjunction with a farm!)
European coffee
Homemade food – I will hunt down the Mom and Pop places with the best reviews everywhere
The beach, I grew up going to Long Beach Island, NJ as a kid but love any beach
Europe. We lived in Germany for 4.5 years; it was the most beautiful chapter thus far and the inspiration for me in everything, from photography to cooking, gardening, child-rearing, etc. We loved everything about it!
Sketching and landscape design
I started my photography journey as a newlywed in 2014, out in Colorado. Ten months later, military orders sent us to Germany, which is where I initially opened as a business. I have since carried my license during three subsequent moves: to New Mexico and then Ohio, and lastly of course, to our current home in western Pennsylvania.
Establishing myself as a Catholic wedding photographer has brought so much joy and purpose to my life as a small business owner. It is an absolute honor and a blessing to work with my brides and grooms and their families on such a life changing day in their lives. I pride myself on the relationships I have and continue to have with my clients, even after the wedding day. My friendship with my brides and grooms is important, as I want them to feel as though they can trust me, like a good friend, to ensure their needs and expectations are met with understanding, professionalism, and love!
