Hello! I’m Carly, wife and mother of three. A cradle Catholic, I wanted to understand my faith more deeply through study, and ultimately was led to the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies in Marriage & Family at The Catholic University of America, where I earned a master’s degree and doctorate in theology. After getting married and becoming a mother, I found myself exploring my vocation through photography. I began documenting my children and fell in love with capturing the beauty of the ordinary moments of the day to day and seeing how photography trained my eye to see that beauty.

When I began my photography business, I initially focused on birth and motherhood. As my professional journey progressed, I fell in love with families and Catholic weddings, and now I focus primarily on that. I also occasionally serve as a theology professor when I can.

My approach to weddings is documentary – I want you to be fully present to your spouse and your people on your wedding day and not worry about performing for the camera. I strive to authentically and artfully document your wedding day in its full truth and depth, with the sacramental reality of that day ever in my mind and guiding how I document your story.

In having this approach to weddings, along with my theological background and my own experience within the sacrament of marriage, I not only aim to serve my couples truly and artfully with my camera, but also personally through friendship and prayer.
