My name is Grant Whitty. I’m originally from Iowa and live in Colorado with my wife and children. I have been a photographer for 15 years, and I’m a graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Journalism & Media Communication and a minor in fine art photography. After college, I served as a FOCUS missionary for four years, working with students in Colorado and Oregon.

During that time, I felt a clear call from Jesus to use my photography as a means of evangelization—sharing the truth, beauty, and goodness of Jesus Christ and His Church. The Church is a treasury of many great gifts, people, sacred traditions, gestures, prayers, and symbols. These elements have become an integral part of telling Her story.

I believe Catholic weddings are powerful opportunities to evangelize and pour out Sacramental grace. They offer a unique opportunity to witness the Love that Christ has for His Church, through the Sacrament of Marriage–especially for those attending who don’t often find themselves at Church. My role is to joyfully and reverently capture both the grand and quiet moments of the day, always with Jesus at the center. Blending fine art and photojournalism, I strive to create honest, beautiful images that reflect the sacred story of the Sacrament unfolding in the lives of the couple and those present.
