Hi everyone! My name is Nathan Kabat, and I’ve been providing DJ services in Iowa and beyond for a little over 10 years – 6 of which I’d describe as the ‘learning’ phase (high school and college), 3.5 years professionally since forming my business, and since May 1, 2025 as my full time career path! I’m grateful to be married to my high school sweetheart (on August 3, 2019) and we have 4 amazing kids together. God has abundantly blessed our lives, I am so thankful to Him!

My business was born out of three different loves – Music, Live Performance, and Technology. I grew up playing the violin and quickly fell in love with being in front of others and sharing the music with them! My science-oriented brain also was head over heels about technology, especially in the music world (think: concerts, lighting, sound systems, electronic music production, etc). It was easy to get excited dreaming about being on the stage in front of thousands of fans!

Through a process of research and discovery, I realized that path was not going to be for me. However, I learned how my three spheres can intersect as a Wedding and Event DJ. We all have a story about a wedding where the music was too loud, or harsh, or the microphones weren’t working properly and threw off a heartfelt toast (a failure of technology), or the DJ went rogue and brought out some obscure or obscene music at just the wrong moment (a failure in music and performance understanding). I immediately knew there was a place for me in the world of events and weddings, and have cultivated those three loves into my full-time career – helping couples to celebrate one of life’s greatest and most spiritually significant moments!
