Hello, Catholic brides! My name is Braelyn. A bit about me: I’m a Catholic convert (2016) who grew up Evangelical Christian. I never expected that plot twist, but now being Catholic is part of everything I do. I grew up on a small family farm (my ancestors were Quaker) in central Ohio, went to college in Indiana, and then moved to Georgia to attend Savannah College of Art and Design for my MFA in Illustration (being an illustrator has really informed my photography style.) I then taught art at a small Classical Christian school for six years and loved it. I have been working as a professional photographer for 5 years, and I love telling stories and capturing who a person is. I now work in Catholic media and as a sacred choral musician, so I see wedding photography as an extension of these ministries. What better witness to the beauty of God than the sacraments, specifically the sacrament of marriage? I am very influenced by the Theology of the Body and the teachings of the Church on what is Good, True, and Beautiful.
