Sarah and Dominic’s love story started in a beautiful way, they met at a wedding! It was the wedding of Sarah’s cousin and it turns out that her cousin is one of Dominic’s best friends from West Point. Sarah and Dominic are the kind of people that, when you meet them, you instantly feel know and loved. We were so excited for the elegance and class they had planned for their big day, both the church and reception venues are grand and picturesque. They were the perfect settings for Dominic and Sarah’s wedding dreams to become reality.
Sarah and Dominic, deeply in love, entered into the sacrament of Matrimony on a warm and sunny day in July. The day was luxurious and elegant with beautiful hints of soft purple florals. The theme of joy and sacrifice, laying down one’s life, was constant throughout the day, from the homily to the toasts during the reception.
Sarah got ready at the elegant Overbrook Golf Course which was the location for their reception later that day. Surrounded by her loving family and friends, she donned her dress and veil and prepared to walk down the aisle toward her beloved. Sarah’s dress had an overskirt that she took off during portraits and made her dress look completely different! It was amazing!
Their Catholic nuptial Mass was in the massively beautiful Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul, the mother church of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. It was an exceptionally beautiful wedding but what made it even more special and beautiful was the couple and their deep love of Jesus and His Church.
Dominic got ready at the fabulous Four Seasons with panoramic views of downtown Philadelphia. Dominic had amazing details such as his Holy Family Hearts cuff links and their names stitched into the collar of his white tuxedo jacket.
The celebrant of their wedding Mass was their friend Fr. David O’Brien. He spoke so highly of Sarah and Dominic and their relationship. He noted that their Gospel for the Mass was specifically picked out by Dominic. It was the Beatitudes from Matthew’s Gospel and Dominic said that Sarah encompasses every beatitude. Fr. David also spoke about how they are called to found their marriage on a firm foundation, building a new family out of the heart of the Father.
After Mass, we all headed back to Overbrook for the party of the century. The Murgia and Latino families know how to party and they were “taking care of business” on the dance floor! Their band was incredible and had everyone dancing, even during the cocktail hour! It was a wild night full of joy, laughter, and fantastic dance moves!
